　　据《纽约时报》报道，卡布雷拉在2020年曾为特朗普竞选团队工作。2024年1月竞选佛罗里达州共和党副主席时，他获得了特朗普的支持。

　　当天，特朗普还宣布，提名汽车集团副总裁阿里戈(John Arrigo)担任新任美国驻葡萄牙大使，纪录片制片人法卡斯(Somers Farkas)担任美国驻马耳他大使。
